Superstar Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has taken to social media to congratulate Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen on being named Sportsman of the Year in Turkey.
Osimhen, 26, shared the news on his Instagram page on November 11, 2025, announcing his recognition at the 2025 GQ Türkiye Men of the Year Awards. The award was officially presented to him at a grand ceremony on Wednesday night, December 10, 2025.
The Galatasaray forward earned the accolade following a remarkable 2024/25 season, during which he scored 37 goals and provided seven assists in 41 matches, leading the club to the Turkish league title. His performances were so impressive that Galatasaray secured his permanent transfer from Napoli for a record-breaking €75 million.
Continuing his fine form this season, Osimhen has already netted 11 goals in 14 appearances for the Istanbul giants.
