Nigerian superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, had an unexpected moment on stage during his 5Alive concert in Abidjan after an overzealous fan suddenly ran aggressively toward him, leaving the singer on full alert.
The viral video shows Davido performing his Grammy-nominated song “With You” featuring Omah Lay when a male fan broke through security and sprinted directly at him. Upon spotting the sudden movement, Davido immediately took a few steps backward, squared his stance, and positioned himself as though ready to defend himself, a reaction many fans jokingly described as combat mode.
Before the fan could reach him, Davido’s bodyguards swiftly intervened, wrestling the man away from the stage. Davido, visibly composed, continued his performance after the brief scare.
Another moment that sparked reactions came seconds later when Davido paused and walked back toward the commotion to check on the fan, who was still struggling in the grip of security. The gesture earned him praise for his kindness and concern, even in a tense situation.
The video has triggered mixed but largely humorous reactions online. Many found Davido’s instinctive reaction both hilarious and relatable.
