Mrs Olumiyi, mother of Mohbad, has finally addressed claims that he abandoned the late musician for years only to surface when he became popularity, Praizemedia report.

Mohbad died on Tuesday, September 12.
During an interview with TVC, the singer’s mum revealed how her son was assaulted days after he released his latest EP, Blessed.

The bereaved also shared how her son moved her from Iyana-Oworo to a new apartment in Ikorodu.

She further revealed that her son recently got her a shop and had promised her N5m, which she was supposed to use to stock up.

Mohbad’s mum also noted that before his tragic passing, she was at his place for over ten days but later left to prepare for church.

She disclosed that she got news of her son’s death three days after she left his place.
