Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez faced an unexpected hostile reception during his performance in Abuja, as concertgoers booed him and threw objects on stage.
A video circulating online shows the rapper attempting to engage the crowd, only for parts of the audience to respond with loud boos and items hurled in his direction. The incident has sparked intense debate on social media, with many linking the reaction to his ongoing feud with Abuja-born rapper Odumodublvck.
The tension between the rappers began earlier in 2024/2025 when subtle jabs escalated into an open confrontation. Odumodublvck accused Blaqbonez of being “fake supportive,” claiming he only aligns with artists once they become successful.
Blaqbonez responded, shading Odumodublvck for relying on “street validation” and implying that some artists only trend because of regional loyalty. Their exchanges created heavy polarization online, especially because Odumodublvck is a dominant figure in Abuja, where he enjoys massive fan loyalty.
The feud intensified when Blaqbonez seemingly took a swipe at Odumodublvck in his newly released track, “ACL.”
Because of this, many speculate that the Abuja crowd, largely Odumodublvck supporters, rejected Blaqbonez out of loyalty to their hometown star.
Reactions have been divided. Some users claimed the crowd’s behaviour was “disrespectful and unnecessary.” Others argued that Blaqbonez “knew what he was doing” by bringing the beef to Odumodu’s home base. A few insisted that Abuja is Odumodublvck territory, making the confrontation inevitable.

Few weeks ago, it was reported that Odumodublvck clashed with Blaqbonez’s female manager, Morin Oluwatobi, in what appeared to be a heated altercation over the weekend in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
