‘Nobody wants to die’: Moment Kunle Remi repeatedly checks to ensure gun has no bullets on “The Herd” movie set (Watch)

pmnews, November 29, 2025November 29, 2025

A clip of Nollywood actor Kunle Remi while on the set of the Netflix movie, “The Herd,” has surfaced online, and it has got many people talking.

The video showcased the moment actor Kunle Remi was repeatedly checking to ensure a gun that was about to be shot at him had no bullets in it.

Recall Entertainment Region previously reported a content on the viral Netflix movie “The Herd” where Muslims launched a campaign to ban Netflix over the movie “The Herd”, as they claimed that the film portrays Hausa as Bandits.

However, a scene from the movie The Herd has gone viral online, capturing the tense moment involving actors Daniel Etim Effiong, Kunle Remi, and Genoveva Umeh during a car scene on set.

In the clip, Daniel Etim Effiong, who also served as the film’s executive producer, was seated in the driver’s seat, while Kunle Remi played the groom and Genoveva Umeh, the bride, appeared alongside them in the vehicle.

As an actor portraying one of the Fulani herdsmen was about to fire at Kunle Remi’s character, Kunle was seen stepping out of the car to repeatedly inspect the gun, carefully confirming that it was not loaded.

Despite Daniel Etim Effiong stating that he had checked the firearm numerous times, Kunle Remi insisted on personally verifying its safety. Actress Genoveva Umeh also encouraged him to double-check, stressing that life has no insurance and safety must come first.

@Zynat4 said;  “lol . I remembered something similar happened with Peju and one popular Yoruba babalawo guy. Peju was startled and very angry at him cos he wasn’t even supposed to shoot at all.”

@KennyOniyi  wrote; “That was the mistake that killed Brandon Lee (Bruce Lee’s son) in a movie filming in 1993. It is so important to confirm if everything is okay when filming such scenes.”

@TheGreatKhrys remarked; “Even under tighter scrutiny in Hollywood,  mistakes still happen. Then in Nollywood, you say I shouldn’t check? I won’t even let you hold the gun till we’re about to film the scene.”

@AwobajoS shared; “That guy na proper bandit cos how he take sabi handle gun.”

In the end, the viral clip has reignited conversations about safety standards on movie sets, especially when firearms are involved. While some viewers found Kunle Remi’s repeated checks amusing, many others applauded his caution, noting that accidents in film productions can have deadly consequences.
